TAKE ACTION: Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization
If we're seeking real cultural changes to prevent and end sexual violence, our laws, policies, and institutions must reflect our values. This Denim Day 2019, two policies aim to do just that and they need your support!
NATIONAL
At the national level, the Violence Against Women's Act (VAWA) is up for reauthorization and for the first time since it was created, it's facing a large amount of opposition. You can help ensure that this life-saving policy continues to support survivors of sexual violence by contacting your Senators and urging them to support VAWA.

STATEWIDE, CALIFORNIA
Californians are also activating for policy change by seeking $50 million from the state budget to go specifically to funding sexual and domestic violence prevention programs. Prevention efforts like youth leadership development, community mobilizing, and engaging men and boys are vital components of creating a world free from violence. You can help advocate for state funds for prevention by contacting your local state assembly members and state senators.
