LA Times joins Peace Over Violence to make the profound statement that, “there is no excuse and never an invitation to harass, abuse, assault, rape.

In April 2018, the LA Times signed on as the Official Media Partner of Peace Over Violence’s Denim Day sexual violence prevention and education campaign. The Times has reported on critical issues to the LA community since 1881, holding power accountable on issues including sexual violence and assault from Hollywood to Sacramento. “We couldn’t be more pleased to work with Peace Over Violence to support Denim Day and the efforts of the campaign to support survivors and raise awareness about sexual violence,” said Times Vice President of Public Affairs & Events, Suzy Jack, “both organizations are pillars of the Los Angeles community, and it’s important we come together to support causes that affect Angelenos.” The Los Angeles Times is the fourth most circulated newspaper in the US and Los Angeles’ top digital platform. With a readership of over 600,000 people, the LA Times is stepping up to lend Peace Over Violence its media platform to bring greater awareness and action to the issue of sexual violence and all its forms.
